Data deletion

You can permanently delete your Whiteflame account and the personal data associated with it at any time. This page explains the three ways to do it and what happens next.

§ One — In the appThe fastest path

This is the fastest route and usually completes within five minutes.

1. Sign in to whiteflame.net or the Whiteflame app.
2. Go to Settings → Account → Privacy.
3. Tap Delete my account and confirm with the verification email we send you.

§ Two — By emailWritten request

Write to privacy@whiteflame.net from the email address linked to your account with the subject line "Data deletion request". Please include:

• the email or username of the account;
• confirmation that you are the account holder;
• any specific data categories you want removed (leave blank for a full account deletion).

§ Three — By postMailed request

§ Four — What happens nextThe timeline

• We verify your identity, typically by emailing a one-time code to the address on file.
• Your profile is removed from the public Service within 24 hours.
• Your personal data is deleted from our primary systems within 30 days and from encrypted backups within 90 days.
• Some information may be retained where we are legally required to keep it (for example, trust & safety records relating to violations of the Terms of Service, or tax records for paying filmmaker partners). We will let you know which data we retain and why.

§ Five — Facebook LoginDisconnecting a social login

If you signed in with Facebook, disconnecting your Facebook account does not delete your Whiteflame data. Please use one of the options above. To instruct Facebook to forward a deletion request to us, open Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites → Whiteflame → Remove and confirm the deletion callback — we will receive the request and process it within 30 days.

§ Six — CaliforniaCCPA / CPRA rights

The California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) gives you the right to request deletion of your personal information. We will honour verified requests within 45 days, or 90 days with notice. You have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising this right.
